Welcome to my updated Hausbell Mini H7 Wireless Keyboard Review! It’s not new, but it can still be useful for you!
So you’re looking for a keyboard that won’t take up a ton of space, and you’ve seen the HausBell mini H7 keyboard? You, being the intelligent AndroidPCReview.com reader want to know more about it. Well, where do you start and what’s important? Fear not, that’s what we’re here for.
The trouble with most Android set-top boxes is that we’re too far away from them when we use them. We hook them up to the TV, then we go 10-15 feet away, sit on the couch, and wonder how to actually connect to them. Sure, a lot of manufacturers will give you a remote with their device. That remote is…well…crap, to put it bluntly. You find out their limitations as soon as you try to enter your first username\password combination. As soon as you sit down to watch a movie, you’re back up again trying to find a spare wireless mouse. But even your trusty wireless mouse isn’t that great, because now you have to click on the individual letters, one by one to enter them.
Enter the Hausbell Mini H7
The Hausbell mini H7 is really the perfect device for a Smart TV box or mini PC if you want to do a lot of web surfing, email, or anything else that actually requires typing. Don’t get me wrong, for sitting and watching a movie I prefer an air mouse, but they definitely have their limitations. If you want to type, you’re right back to where you started before.
The Hausbell H7 mini keyboard is a full QWERTY keyboard, coupled with a touchpad, directional pad, function keys, and media controls. Surprisingly, even with all that functionality, the keyboard doesn’t look crowded or undersized. That being said, you’re not going to be typing very fast on this keyboard. The keys are just too small and if you have even average-sized hands then you’re going to have some difficulty. The feel of the keys is good, though. The texture has a good, smooth rubber feel and has a nice, solid clicking sound when the key is pressed. I’m a touch typist, so it’s important to me to have a good feel and sound because I’m not always going to be looking at the keys when I type.
The function keys are a nice touch. You can open your internet browser or email application with one click, just like you can on full-size keyboards. There are buttons specifically for left and right mouse clicks if you’re on an operating system that supports that. On one side of the touchpad is a standard d-pad, with an “OK” button in the center. On the other side is a full set of media controls – arranged in another d-pad layout.
On the back side is the battery compartment, which houses an 800 mAh rechargeable battery. The Hausbell mini H7 charges via a micro-USB cable through a port on the front, next to the power switch. The battery compartment is large enough to house the USB received when not in use.
My personal opinion after a month of use!

The Verdict
There’s a lot to like about the Hausbell mini H7 wireless keyboard. It won’t replace your full-size wireless keyboard, but then again, it wasn’t meant to. If you’re looking for a full QWERTY keyboard in a small-format device, this is a great keyboard for the price.
One caveat: It isn’t backlit. I have one of these, and it really makes me sad because it just blows to use this in a dark room when watching TV.
